Tip # 717 - NO WONDER DAWN RETIRED!

One requirement for renewing my insurance license every two years in June (birth month), is the completion of (coincidentally) 24 continuing education credits. (Get it?)

Like those who wait until April 15th to file tax returns, yours truly was online just this week reading course materials, then taking exams.

Friday was the last (“Medicare Coordination with Employer Health Plans”); a tedious review of regs I should already know, followed by 50 (intentionally tricky) multiple choice questions.

Anyhoo, I’m done. Apparently in business for another two years (98% on that last one)!

Not without noting however, that our ‘friends’ in Washington have added reams of new regulations, mostly to the Medicare Advantage and Part D markets.

At the same time compliance is more challenging, insurers are signaling the elimination of commissions on some products or just ‘retiring’ (like Dawn)!

For the record then, don’t be surprised if your Annual Medicare or Marketplace renewal experiences are different later this year.

In closing, you/we miss Dawn, but remember Candice Byers joined our Team last year. (To rave reviews!) Save her contact information: CByers@RobersonRyan.com. Direct Dial: 262-478-3263.

Candice, Amy Stehr (AStehr@RobertsonRyan.com, DD: 262-236-6937) and I are here to continuously educate you, too.

(Devil's Food would be nice.)
